This role supports our growing network of over 1,300 organisations working on climate, nature, and social justice.

As a Membership Assistant, you’ll help people and organisations stay connected, informed and involved with our work. You’ll play a key part in making sure our members feel welcomed, supported and included in our events and projects.

What it will involve?
You'll help run our membership system day-to-day – welcoming new members, updating our database, and helping us keep in touch with people. You’ll support events, greet attendees, and collect feedback. You'll also help us grow the network by researching new organisations and preparing reports. Along the way, you'll learn useful skills from data management to planning events.

Is this role right for me?
You might enjoy this role if you like chatting to new people, working in a team, and helping things run smoothly. Maybe you’ve helped organise a school or community event, or you just like being part of something with a bigger purpose.

What skills will I use?

  • Clear and friendly communication in writing, in person and over the phone

  • Staying organised and managing your time well so you can meet important deadlines

  • Being accurate and careful with information

  • Being a team player and helping others, and being curious and willing to learn

  • Using tools like Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and learning new systems and processes

How will I be helping protect our environment?
You’ll be supporting hundreds of local organisations working for climate and nature. Your work will help them share ideas, take action, and work together – building a stronger, more joined-up response to the climate and nature crises.

What’s great about working here
You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team who care about making a difference. We offer flexible working, free wellbeing support, and paid ‘journey days’ if you travel sustainably on holiday. You’ll get chances to learn new things, attend events, and grow your confidence in a real working environment.

Where could this role take me?
This role could lead to jobs in events, community engagement, climate action, or working with charities and membership organisations.
