Conservation Ranger

What it will involve?
You'll spend your days protecting the lakes and the wildlife that depends on them. Some of the tasks you might be doing include:

• Monitoring endangered crayfish and help with conservation projects

• Transfering young eels to help them migrate upstream

• Checking for invasive species and maintain biosecurity facilities

• Chatting with visitors to answer any questions

• Putting up signs, maintaining fences, and keeping the sites tidy

You'll directly protect precious lake habitats that support rare wildlife like white-clawed crayfish and migrating eels. By preventing invasive species and maintaining water quality, you're safeguarding ecosystems that benefit both wildlife and people. Your work helps ensure clean water supplies while creating thriving natural spaces where birds, mammals, and aquatic life flourish.
