This internship is all about helping communities take action on climate change.

You'll join the Local and Community Empowerment team at CSE, supporting projects that work with local people, councils and groups to build a fairer, greener future. It's a great way to start your career in the environmental sector while making a real impact.

What it will involve?
You’ll help keep things organised, support workshops and events, and communicate with local groups and councils. You might design posters, take notes in meetings, or help people learn more about climate action. You’ll also get involved in planning and promoting community projects, and work closely with the rest of the team to keep things running smoothly.

Is this role right for me?
You might enjoy this if you like chatting with people, being part of a team, and getting stuck into a mix of creative and practical tasks. It’s great for someone who wants to help others, try out new things, and start making a difference.

What skills will I use?

  • Writing clearly and communicating ideas

  • Organising tasks and managing your time

How will I be helping protect our environment?
You’ll do meaningful work that helps communities take climate action where they live. That might mean helping people save energy, supporting local councils, or sharing tools to tackle the climate crisis in ways that include everyone. It’s all about making sure change starts from the ground up.
